Medicine Days are conducted in accommodation such as an Airbnb or in your home. Options are discussed in preparation sessions.
Below is a guide outlining requirements for ensuring a safe space during your medicine day.
GUIDE
– Private: A quiet, space for 12 hours or longer. Access to a garden is optimal.
– Climate Control: this ensures that the room temperature remains comfortable i.e. neither too cold nor too warm.
– Gentle Lighting: Indirect soft and soothing lighting with the capability to block out or minimize direct sunlight.
– Bed: For use therapeutically with extra blankets and pillows.
– Chairs: Three comfortable chairs suitable for extensive sits.
– Environment Clearance: Removal of any spiritual, religious, violent, or dark-themed objects, paintings, pictures, and artefacts to maintain a neutral, calming atmosphere.
– Playlists: preferably compiled in Spotify including a device to manage the playlist with bluetooth capability for streaming.
- A playlist featuring soundscapes (without lyrics, characterized as gentle, dreamy, exploring, drifting).
- A playlist with energising and motivating music that makes you feel alive and move
– Drinks: At least 2L of fresh water and herbal teas
– Snacks: Low sugar options to maintain stable energy levels
– Medicine: Please arrange with your medical professional provider i.e. medicinal cannabis
