Approach

Coming-Home provides a non-judgmental, safe space to support those who are seeking, or have experienced, a psychedelic experience. We cover three distinct therapy phases that is normally followed in psychedelic assisted therapy.

  1. preparation (including screening)
  2. the acute psychedelic experience and/or microdosing
  3. integration

As part of our thorough psychosocial screening process, we will ascertain if this process is for clients and if so, what substance may be of assistance for them. Once this has been established, we encourage clients to engage in a preparatory process of education including harm reduction such as managing medications, lifestyle and dietary changes.

For some clients, microdosing may be a better avenue in managing their mental health than acute “heroic” sessions. A combination of the two pathways may also be an option. Intentions are then set for the client’s journey and an integration plan is established to develop tools and techniques for self care.  We recommend at least 1-2 sessions for the preparation phase and 4-5 sessions for the integration phase.

Integration sessions are an opportunity to work through issues that have emerged from the experience of consciousness medicines, expanded states and other mental and emotional health issues.

The non-psychedelic elements of this approach are essential for both the effectiveness and safety of this process.

DISCLAIMER:  Our service does not provide psychoactive or illicit substances. We recommend that clients obtain prescribed legal substances through appropriate medical professionals.
